- Summary
|
Nowadays one of the Juarez main problem is the lack of water mainly in the low income communities located at the outside city suburbs.
Since 2000 the Tontanzin Women's Committee initiated the process to use the ECOLOGICAL TOILETS in a Juarez low income community. This project benefits over 200 families which do not have WC. The project was led by Sister Petrita coached by personnel from South of Mexico where the project is already fully implemented. The ecological Toilets main feature is that they do not require water for the maintenance. It is call the “Dry Toilet”.
An additional benefit is the positive impact on the environment by using the excrement and urine as fertilizers for landscaping green areas and promoting water conservation |
