Purpose of grant is to allow continuation, expansion and improvement of Outreach Programs and scholarships. Program goals and objectives correspond perfectly with Rotary literacy and youth service goals.  Rotary involvement will include hands-on in conjunction with the Outreach Program; handing out scholarship to individual students and when needed assisting with other programs.

The project consists of the purchase of apparatus & special prothesis to support physical and mental rehabilitation of children with spinal problems. It will allow them to walk, be independent. it will also elevate their self esteem and help a better integration in society and in their family. The association Pro-Infancia Neurologica (APIN) takes care of 360 children with spinal problem. This project will initiate the rehabilitation of 25 of the 75 children that require immediate attention.

Provide the means to cover cost and expenses for equipment and material for a 3-6 year old kidspre-school. Water fountain, sanitaries, bathroom playgrounds, class rooms equipment.

The Torreon´ Drogadictos Anonimos (Drugaddicts Anonymous) group runs a bakery where it gets some money to solve some of its most urgent economic problems, but they badly need basic machinery and equipment.

Improve the facilities of the elementary school “Solidaridad” located in Gomez Palacio Dgo. This school has a population of 197 children. This project is focused on improving the septic tank, lavatories, sidewalks, school furniture, electrical installation, principal´s office repair, and 6 personal computers.

Give the elementary school “Rotary 100 years” the equipment needed to function properly. It means: Proteccion for 9 classrooms, 10 personal computers, 5 air condition machines, 40 pupil´s chairs, sidewalks, 1 VCR, 1 tv set, 1 overhead proyector, school supplies, and books for the library.
