Below is each committee's focus for reference:

ARTICLE 24 – CLUB ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE
The Rotary District 5520 Club Engagement Committee would be the Committee responsible for ensuring that our District is effectively engaging with (e.g., communicating and collaborating) our member Clubs.
It would not have the authority to make decisions or to override any Committee Chair or other member of the District Leadership Team. Rather, it would help promote and guide members of the District Leadership team to improve their engagement with our Clubs on behalf of the District Governor.
The Committee would use, as two of its cornerstones, District Priority #4 (Foster a Culture of Accessibility, Respect and Collaboration based on the Four-Way Test) and District Priority #6 (Develop and Implement effective communication/information sharing structure and protocols) for gauging our overall District effectiveness.
The Club Engagement model that this Committee would develop, pilot, and implement would include an alternative Club visit model for District Governors if the Governor so wishes to use it.

ARTICLE 25 – PERFORMANCE EXCELLLENCE COMMITTEE
The Rotary District 5520 Performance Excellence Committee would be the Committee responsible for ensuring that our District Committees and Leadership Team members are performing at an excellent level.
It would not have the authority to make decisions or to override any Committee Chair or other member of the District Leadership Team. Rather, it would help promote and guide members of the District Leadership team and District Committees on behalf of the District Governor to perform at an excellent level as defined by established goals and associated metrics.
The Committee would use, as one of its cornerstones, District Priority #8 (Attain/Maintain Excellence with District-Specific Programs).
The approach that the Committee will primarily use, working with the Committees and Leadership Team members, involves continually assessing current performance, identifying key gaps and opportunities, and working with the Committees and Leadership Team members on action plans designed to improve performance when implemented.
