District 5520 Rotary PETS Event Overview and Registration Details
The District 5520 Rotary PETS event will feature discussions on what to expect as a Club President, breakout sessions on running meetings, inspiring Rotarians, and planning. Workshops will focus on innovation, telling your Rotary story, and there will be a dinner with a keynote speaker. We will cover The Rotary Foundation, Public Image, Membership growth, the new Rotary goal-setting paradigm, and networking, concluding with final remarks and a wrap-up.
Why Should Presidents-Elect Attend PETS?
The President-Elect Training Seminar (PETS) is a pivotal event for incoming club presidents. It provides essential training, networking, and inspiration that empower our leaders to make a lasting impact in their communities. Please note that attendance by the President-Elect (PE) (or President, if no PE is identified) is required by Rotary bylaws.
During the one-and-a-half-day PETS (March 13th afternoon and all-day March 14th, 8 AM - 5 PM), President-Elects will:
- Learn Best Practices: PETS offers workshops on effective leadership, membership growth, and objective planning. These skills are crucial for successful club operations.
- Forge Connections: Our clubs thrive when we collaborate and learn from one another. PETS brings together leaders from across the district, fostering valuable connections and friendships.
- Gain Motivation: PETS renews enthusiasm and commitment. It equips our leaders with the tools they need to lead their clubs with passion and purpose.
Event Registration Details
In-person PETS will take place at the Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown, from noon on Friday, March 13th, through dinner, and all-day Saturday (8 AM - 5 PM), March 14th. Dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday are included.
- Early Bird Pricing (up to and including January 15th, 2025): $130
- Pricing after January 15th: $160
- Last day to register: March 6th

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown for $149.00 USD per night
